We Heart Midlothian!
Remedy Church loves our city. In the Bible God tells his people to seek the welfare of the city where he has sent them (Jer. 29.7), and one of our Missional Communities is made up of people in Midlothian. We love our city, and we are highly interested in the good of our people!
Practically speaking, that means a variety of things from using our bounce houses to participate in family events in the city to lending a hand with physical or financial needs as we are able. We can’t do everything, but we can do some things, and our desire is to be a noticeable blessing to the city and its people.
“I thought Remedy Church was in Waxahachie?”
Short version: The church isn’t a building or an event, it’s a people. The people of God, changed by the presence of Jesus among us and following him with our lives, are the church. So wherever God’s people go, the church is present.
While Remedy does gather on Sundays at the Waxahachie YMCA, we are scattered during the week where our people live, work, and play, and one of those cities is Midlothian.
We launched a Missional Community in Midlothian after recognizing that 8-9 of our households or families lived in Midlo or northwest of there. So the people in that Missional Community are doing life and mission together in Midlothian.
